Area President - Carolinas

My current gig... I joined with FocusCFO just over a year ago, as an Area President of the Carolinas. FocusCFO is the leading onsite CFO services provider in the Southeast and Midwest, with over 125 professionals providing world-class fractional CFO support. In this role I work with owners of small & mid-sized businesses in (and outside) the Carolinas that are often upset that they don’t have the right information to run their business, those that are concerned about their cash flow, and/or those that are frustrated that they don’t have a trusted partner to help think through growth, value building and strategic/ exit planning.

Related to FocusCFO role, last year I went through the educational program to become a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®). And was intimately involved in the launching of a Charlotte chapter of the Exit Planning Exchange (XPX), and continue to serve on the board and heading up the development of educational events.

I also serve as a volunteer mentor to business founders via the Innovate Charlotte organization.

Prior to FocusCFO, I was a founder and CEO (and CFO) of a small/ mid-sized business myself. It was an 18 year journey that concluded with selling the business to a strategic buyer -- after an almost 2 year strategic process.

Before that my career gigs were as a technology executive & management consultant in financial services with some preeminent organizations including Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, and Accenture.

I have a "combo" degree in Electrical, Software & Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
