The title of this post contains the words that will stifle growth and leave you in the weeds forever. For many builders and remodelers these words come pouring out like a built in reflex reaction. I am as guilty of this as anyone. We get frustrated with the lack of results and in our minds it's just easier to do it ourselves than go through the effort of explaining how to do it to someone else. Unfortunately by constantly saying "I'll just do it myself" we guarantee that we always have to.
I challenge you to take some time and identify the things you are really good at and love to do. If you focus the vast majority of your time doing those things, and avoiding the other noise, you will not only see great results, you will wake up excited and energized each day.
For all of the other things that need to get done you must find someone else that excels at those tasks and has a passion for doing them. This is the key to properly delegating.
